So I bought these a few months ago after seeing them on IamKarenos snap chat, and I kept meaning to write a review on them and I've eventually get around to it,
so Pur cosmetics recently launched a eye polish which doubles up as a pure pigment eye base and a top coat to compete your eye look. They have 6 shades available which are: Satin, suede, cashmere, silk, velvet and caviar.
These retails at £17 each, for a 0.28 FL OZ eye polish and a silicone applicator.
This pure pigment eye primer and top coat creates a iridescent crease proof shadow primer, or you can use them as a top coat which creates a shimmery sheen to finish your eye makeup, But if you build up the colour enough you can use these a stand alone eye shadow.
On the other hand, the applicator. The applicator has a smudge resistant silicone tip that allows you to apply to your eyes with ease. Applying the pigment with the applicator allows you to be able to pack on the product while achieving a ful coverage look, while on the other hand using your fingers, blends the product out more and creates a sheer finish,
I found that the shadows are very wet when you first open the jar up, but after a few minutes the product tends to get drying which makes it easier to apply to your eye. So when you open the pot up, you're faced with a circle mesh cover, that you either use with your finger or the applicator to press down on it and grab the product.
The photo on the left is using my finger vs. the photo on the right which is using the silicone applicator.
I found using picking up the product with the applicator creates more pigment, yet i found when putting the product on my eyes with the applicator, it tends to diffuse alot.
Each shade had a problem of their own, With suede i found it was very wet, which did end up making the product less pigmented.
Also with satin, mine dried up very quick and once it drys up, so have to add water which then makes the products too watering to work with.
Lastly i found that cashmere didnt had the lasting power of the others.
Overall these are great products, they are all very pigmented and are a great multi-use product.
